Day 27: Packing again
Tonight is the last night that we will stay at this apartment. It's been quite good to us. We couldn't have asked for a better location as it's in the heart of the city. It was small - especially with having three of us stay there (it has 2 bedrooms) but it did the job. We didn't ever run out of space. Having said that, I'm thoroughly looking forward to sleeping somewhere else.
This apartment gets zero natural sunlight. It's designed in a weird way so that all the apartment windows face in towards each other and the rooms are architecturally designed in a box shape - so the building is a box and in the middle, between the rooms is a small, random courtyard that no one uses at the bottom and then nothing all the way up to the top of the building. Yes, this means that when curtains are left open you get wide open views into other people's flats.
Apart from feeling gloomy and depressed all day if you stay inside, the worst part was sleeping. I'd wake up at say, 11am, and it'd feel like 5am - no matter how long I slept. Oh how I hate myself now for the times that I used to get angry about the sun waking me up.
Peak: Monday night T.V. here is golden! 7.30 My Kitchen Rules (my new favourite show), 8.30 Revenge (new program that's not very good but just because I started watching it from the start I feel like I need to watch every episode), 9.30 HIMYM, 10 Happy Endings.
Pit: Having to run around between shops in order to get the right change as I needed coins for the laundry and the dryer would only take x4 $1 coins roar
