Day 9 / Day 4: G'day

I woke up at 11am to an empty house. The Beavis’ had gone out to work. I had SUCH an a amazing sleep, you will not believe.
I bussed into the city to meet up with Meng for lunch. He’s a friend of Martin’s and we’d hung out a couple times in Auckland. He’s a bit older than I and he moved to Sydney just under a year ago. It seemed to me like he was loving every bit of his new life. He’s found himself a girlfriend, got a legit job, got a girlfriend, goes surfing, is saving, has a girlfriend etc. Beavis is doing well but not enjoying it 100%. I remember him saying this last night, “The only problem with Australia is the Australians.” That’s a pretty big problem if you’re living there and you believe that. Meng, on the other hand, has found new friends and didn't have anything to complain about. I hope I can be like him when I have to go back to Melbourne.
I met up with the girls and we went to this massive market thing in China town. It reminded me a lot of Korea as it had lots of stalls selling similar items crowded into small spaces. I bought new jandals.
Here’s an interesting fact about Australia – heaps of the food places don’t accept eftpos. Some do with a minimum $10 purchase but the majority only accept cash. It’s a big nuisance sometimes.
Beavis cooked me Kangaroo meat for dinner. Apparently it’s really healthy. It was pretty good and tasted like your usual meat – except that he overcooked it and it became really tough and hard to eat. He got an earful from Jordyn for that.
The Beavis’ and I chilled out in front of the T.V. for the evening just having a yarn and watching random programs. They have a really unique relationship. They squabble heaps but sort of affectionately.

Peak: Beavis taunting Jordyn about hanging a Twinky in front of her while she’s on a running machine so she can lose weight (it was hilarious and you had to be there)
Pit: Losing the girls in the market and having to wait alone for 15 minutes
Forgot to take photos today =(
