Day 8 / Day 3: Seedneeey & Beeeavis

I slept so much better than last night. Humans are quick learners.
As we had no plans we could do whatever we wanted and whatever we felt like. The girls are pretty freestyle but I’m trying to get them to do it more. For example, when we don’t know where we’re going they get kind of stressed (especially if they’re driving) and I always say, “Let’s just go where the road takes us!” I figure, if we find we’re going the wrong way, we can always turn back and it’s no big deal. If we were going the right way all along, then great! I think it’s annoying them a bit though because I keep saying it. I should stop.
We passed through Wollongong around lunch time. It wasn’t great. More like Boringong. The scenery going up the coast was, though. Our surroundings would constantly change from blue oceans to suburban houses to massive factories to forests.
By 5pm we’d already made it to Sydney – a whole day earlier than ‘planned.’ I got dropped off at Jarryd Beavis’ house. He lives in a suburb east of Sydney called Coogee – it’s sort of like the North Shore equivalent except a bit posher and the beach is really nice. The girls took the campervan to their friend’s where they were going to stay while in Sydney. It would be the last time I ever see Polestar as our campervan relocation was only available to Sydney and no further. Farewell.
Beavis is doing really well. He and his fiancée are working hard, earning lots of money and I guess you could say, ‘living the life.’ They live in a nice flat that has a guest room with a bed and everything. We strolled down to the beach for dinner. It was so awesome catching up with Beavis. It’s been a while since the high school days when we’d hang out days on end together. I’ve definitely missed his sense of humour. It’s very fresh and unique. Also, not that hanging out with the girls is bad, but being away has been a breath of fresh air it must be said. It’s definitely a different dynamic hanging out with boys to girls. I’m definitely appreciating getting an insight into how groups of girls function though. They’ve been pretty uncensored and free with me haha.
I’ve been given my own bed and also my own set of keys to use tomorrow. Jarryd and Jordyn are so hospitable to me!

Peak: Catching up with Beavis.. nah actually charging my phone when I got to Beavis’
Pit: My jandals breaking irreparably whilst walking down to the beach =(
This is the only photo I have from today. It's a photo of sea gulls sleeping on the sand at Coogee beach, which is the area Beavis lives in
